Prep Cook
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Wash, chop, and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
- Measure and portion ingredients according to recipes.
- Assist in basic cooking tasks, such as grilling, frying, and mixing.
- Label, date, and store food properly to maintain freshness.
- Maintain a clean and organized prep station.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Assist line cooks and chefs as needed.
- Previous experience as a prep cook or in a similar role preferred.
- Basic knife skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Team player with good communication skills.
