Food Service Worker – Hospital Kitchen
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Food Service Worker to join our hospital kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and delivering meals to patients, ensuring dietary needs are met, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and assemble patient meals according to dietary guidelines.
Deliver trays to patient rooms and retrieve them after meals.
Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitizing work areas.
Assist in food prep and portioning as needed.
Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, dietitians, and healthcare teams.
Follow proper storage and labeling procedures for food and supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Previous experience in food service, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and handling procedures.
Ability to lift and carry food trays and supplies (up to 25-50 lbs).
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
