Job Description

Are you a natural leader with a passion for food service?  We are seeking a Full-time Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations for a large, high-volume dining facility. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity  starting at $20/hour with the potential to grow into a long-term role with an industry-leading company!  Alongside a manager who will help coordinate and lead operations, you will help oversee staff, collaborate with teammates, and help where needed. 
Job Responsibilities include:
  • Produce and maintain work schedules.
  • Prepare production packets (Production sheets and recipes).
  • Maintain serving schedules & food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures, and department requirements.
  • Ensure that food items are stored in a safe, organized, and secure environment.
  • Maintain a hazard-free, safe, and sanitary department, following health and safety codes and regulations.
  • Keep a current, accurate inventory on a weekly basis, as well as detailed logs for any maintenance required on equipment within the department.
  • Supervise and evaluate employees; counsel, promote employee growth, efficiency, morale, and teamwork.
  • Train/mentor other food service workers.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Food Service Director or Manager whenever his/her skill and/or experience would be vital to initiate, coordinate, or complete any given program.
  • Ability to fill in for absent employees at location, as necessary and possibly perform cashier duties as the need arises. 
  • Stay informed of daily catering events and confirm they are prepared and delivered on time.
  • Availability to work occasional night and weekend catered events.
  • Attend food service meetings and ensure ongoing communication with staff (including office staff, e-mail, phone calls, inter-office mail, etc.).
  • Promote good public relations.
Additional Qualifications include:
  • Completion of a Sanitation course either before or during your first year of employment.
  • Knowledgeable in operating an efficient cost-effective program.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.
  • Strong organizational skills
